Temporary residence registration means the person who does not have the Chinese ID card must register his information in the local police office if they will live or work in China.

If expats will be offered accommodation not by hotels, expats himself or the person who provides the accommodation have to do the registration. And if the expat has rented an apartment or house and have signed the lease contract. He must take his original passport and the original lease contract to do this.
